BUVETTE CHEZ SIMONE is inspired by European-style refreshment stands and focuses on simplicity and conviviality. The space invites people to meet and the imposing central bar sets the tone: We are here to meet with friends, to share drinks, and that is all. Cross-shaped or angled tables allow groups to sit close together, and low hanging light fixtures promote privacy evoking festoons of traditional fairs. The orange electric cables that hang loosely from the ceiling, give the place a playful and unconventional feel. Atelier Zébulon Perron kept the original architecture of the space and used mostly recycled materials or otherwise white oak and cork as a nod to the house specialty: wine.
