Located in the trendy Plateau Mont-Royal borgouh HACHOIR is a popular and casual restaurant that specializes in tartars, gourmet burgers and private importation wines. The décor is chic yet cozy and unpretentious. Durable materials such as solid white oak, brass, raw steel, glass and small mosaic tiles infuse the space with a sense of quality. The look is raw yet sophisticated with some eye-catching elements. The custom designed brass light fixtures hover over dark colored dining area, bathing the patrons in a warm glow. The lively bitro-esque ambiance is accentuated by the smells and sounds of the open kitchen where a big, bright yellow surgical lamp hangs over the pass. The space was planned to encourage contact between customers as can be experience in the multi-level bar at the center of the restaurant.
